A self-hosted operations dashboard for tracking projects, tasks, infrastructure, systems, services, and integrations.
Central Hub started as a personal dashboard and evolved into an always-on platform running on my Raspberry Pi. It combines project management, task workflows, system monitoring, database-backed application state, GitHub-authenticated editing, and public read-only visibility in one environment.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Public visibility.
Protected control.
Public-facing services expose information intentionally selected for visitors, while editing, remote administration, credentials, and sensitive infrastructure controls remain protected.
Only public-facing information belongs on public endpoints.
Services are built with observability and operations in mind.
Operational, in-development, and planned systems stay clearly distinguished.
Infrastructure grows when there is a real reason to operate it.

I'm Thomas Etter, an IT and Network Administration student building practical experience through systems I design, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain myself.
My interests sit at the intersection of infrastructure, networking, Linux, self-hosting, automation, databases, monitoring, and software development.

I don't want to simply say I know a technology. I want the project beside it to prove why.
Etter Digital is where I document that process - from writing software to deploying it on Linux, connecting services, managing databases, troubleshooting failures, and thinking about what happens after an application goes live.
Build for a reason
Projects should solve a real problem, automate something useful, or teach a technical concept through implementation.
Understand the system
Application code is only one layer. Hosting, networking, processes, databases, access, and failure modes matter too.
Keep learning in public
I update this portfolio as I build and understand more, rather than adding projects just to make the list longer.
